Translations

In representing clients overseas, YKI Intellectual Property Attorneys place very high importance on the quality of translations of documents, such as specifications for filing with the JPO and office actions for reporting to the clients.

The in-house translation team at YKI is composed of a group of translators and a specialist staff of native English speakers. The YKI translation team cooperates with the attorneys in ensuring the provision of high-quality translations.

Translation operations at YKI are not only carried out by the in-house team but also in cooperation with outside translators. The outside translators include freelance translators and translators belonging to translation companies, and in both cases, each translator is tested for their translation ability and is individually contracted with YKI.
