Message from Our President

I do not know what moved you to visit these web pages, but on behalf of the partners, associates, and staff of YKI Patent Attorneys, I welcome you to our online home.

In our web pages we do not attempt to give a full picture of the thirty-plus year history of this firm, or explain what we have learned from the tens of thousands of patent applications we have successfully prosecuted, or introduce you to each of the ninety-plus members of our team. That simply would not be possible.

What we do try is to give you a glimpse of who we are, to provide a little information that may help you do business in Japan, and, most importantly, to explain how you can reach us. When you are deciding who to entrust with your, or your clients', valuable IP, we suggest that you not just rely on brochures and web pages, but that you talk to the people who will be working for you.

That may sound old-fashioned, but YKI is an old-fashioned firm. We are experts in the latest technology and we embrace changes that make sense or improve the value of the service we offer our clients, but we believe that honest work and smooth communication, old-fashioned as they are, give our clients the greatest value.
